Dovetail Log Chinking Shapes and Grooves

In the dovetail profile, logs are grooved to give the appearance of genuine chinking. It can be done on the exterior or the interior of the log home [1].

Characterization: 
The dovetail is the 'olde world' type log corner. Examples using this type of log can be seen in Cades Cove in the Great Smokeys and other historical communities.
