SWEEPSTAKES DESCRIPTION: The Win a Cabin from Southland Log Homes Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins on 8/1/08 and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time ("ET") on 6/30/09 ("Sweepstakes Period").
ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to adults who are legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia (“U.S.”) and are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry (“Entrant”). Employees, directors and officers and their immediate families (spouses and siblings, parents and children and their spouses) and household members of Southland Log Homes, Inc. (“Sponsor”), subsidiaries and affiliates and companies involved in the implementation and execution of the Sweepstakes (collectively the "Sweepstakes Entities") are not eligible. Sweepstakes is void in Florida, New York, Rhode Island and where prohibited by law, and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Sweepstakes, each Entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth in the Official Rules.
HOW TO ENTER: There are two ways to participate. (1) Fill out the Entry Form (“Entry”) available at any Southland Log Homes Model Home or Home Store location or at any Southland Log Homes log home show booth in any log home show in which Southland Log Homes is participating during the Sweepstakes Period, and submit the completed Entry as directed; or, (2) visit the Southland Log Homes website http://www.southlandloghomes.com, and follow the online prompts to submit an entry. All information requested must be provided. Limit of one entry per person by any means of entry. Incomplete or illegible entries will be discarded. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 11:59 PM ET on 6/30/09.
PRIZES / APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV): One (1) Grand Prize – Southland Log Homes Lee III Cabin Kit (ARV $40,000.00).
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Grand Prize – Cabin ARV based on 2008 Manufacturer’s Choice Series Retail Price of a base model. Winner must take delivery of the cabin kit within 30 days of notice of availability from the Sponsor. Winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit and Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release Form. Prize may not be transferred or assigned. No cash or other substitution of a prize may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value. Winner will be responsible for delivery costs, construction, land acquisition, foundation and all taxes (not limited to federal, state, local and/or income) on the prize and will be required to provide his/her Social Security number for tax reporting purposes. The Sponsor will file where required an IRS Form 1099 with the Internal Revenue Service for the fair market value of the prize. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
WINNER SELECTION AND VERIFICATION: The potential prize winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted under the supervision of an Independent Sweepstakes Administrator (“ISA”) on or about 7/07/09 from among all eligible Entries received. The winner will be contacted by the ISA by telephone, regular mail or email and will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, except where prohibited by law, a Publicity Release Form (“Affidavit/Release”) within seven days of receipt. If Sponsor is unable to notify the winner within seven (7) days of selection, an alternate may be selected. Failure to timely return any required executed documents may cause the prize to be forfeited and awarded to an alternate as solely determined by the Sponsor. If the prize is refused, a prize notification is returned or deemed undeliverable, or the potential winner is disqualified for any reason, an alternate winner will be selected. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use the winner’s name, hometown, likeness, statements and other personally identifiable information for promotional, advertising and marketing purposes in any media throughout the world without additional prize, incentive, consideration, consent or review; and upon request, the winner will provide written consent to such use.
GENERAL CONDITIONS / RELEASE: By participating, Entrants (a) release Sweepstakes Entities, their respective directors, officers, agents and employees from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by their participation, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize; and (b) acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to a prize including, but not limited to the prize quality or availability. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, or late, lost or misdirected mail, or any injury or damage resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR TAMPER WITH THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO COOPERATE IN THE PROSECUTION OF ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL(S) AND TO PURSUE ALL REMEDIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The Sponsor is not responsible for any printing, typographical, mechanical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilized in, this Sweepstakes, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing and/or transmissions in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participating in or downloading of materials in this contest. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any suspect Entrant and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of any cancellation, termination or suspension, notice thereof will be posted at www.southlandloghomes.com, the determination of the prizewinner will be made, from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received as of the date of the termination, cancellation or suspension, as the Sponsor determines in its sole discretion. Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.
DISPUTES: Entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the American Arbitration Association in Richland County, South Carolina, USA; Entrants agree that any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and Entrants agree to waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, Entrant's rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of South Carolina without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of South Carolina or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of South Carolina.
ENTRANTS PERSONAL INFORMATION: Information collected from Entrants becomes the property of the Sponsor and may be used for the legitimate business purposes of Southland Log Homes, Inc. In no event will the information be sold to third parties.
WINNER / RULES: For the name of the Sweepstakes winner and/or a copy of these Official Rules, mail a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Win a Log Home from Southland Log Homes Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 25497, Rochester, NY 14625. Specify "WINNERS LIST" or "RULES REQUEST" on your request. Requests must be received by 9/8/09.
INDEPENDENT SWEEPSTAKES ADMINISTRATOR: US Sweepstakes & Fulfillment Company, 625 Panorama Trail (Building 2, Suite 100), Rochester, NY 14625, who is responsible for overseeing the awarding of all prizes and whose decision will be considered final in regard to the conduct of this promotion.
